The Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for Physical Therapy visited the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) of the City of San Fernando, La Union on October 28, 2024.

The visit focused on the evaluation of the institution’s application for the re-accreditation of their Physical Therapy Internship Program.

Dr. Cheryll Didi Nellie N. Obra of Mariano Marcos State University and Dr. Melquiades C. Ancheta of the Professional Regulation Commission composed the team with Dr. Maria Carmela L. Domocmat, Education Supervisor II, assisting the team.

Dr. Unity H. Cortez, Officer-in-Charge, Medical Center Chief II; Dr. Mervin M. de Guzman, OIC-Head, Professional Education, Training, and Research Unit; Dr. John Richard B. Esperon, OIC-Head, Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine; Ms. Shelly N. Cortez, PTRP, Chief Physical Therapist; and Mr. Roy C. Abellera, PTRP, PT Clinical Training Supervisor, welcomed and assisted the RQAT team during the inspection visit.

The visit ended with an exit conference where the results of the inspection were communicated.

The institution also received a copy of the RQAT report for their appropriate action.
