Commission on Higher Education

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Local Graduate Scholarships Office (LGSO) conducted a consultative workshop for the Scholarships for Staff and Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) in Angeles City, Pampanga from December 10 to 13, 2024.

 

The workshop brought together CHED Regional LGS staff, permanent/alternate focal persons, and other CHEDRO representatives to collaboratively refine processes and address key concerns in preparation for the upcoming SIKAP application cycle.

 

Participants worked on drafting and presenting proposed amendments to SIKAP policies to streamline scholarship implementation, ensuring that the program remains responsive to the needs of educators and staff pursuing graduate studies.

 

Discussions also focused on designing a scholar monitoring system to enhance support and accountability throughout their academic journey.

 

LGSO vowed to continuously improve the SIKAP program by capacitating educators and staff to gain advanced knowledge and skills, contributing to the overall growth and innovation in the education sector.
